How to create your portal account

Follow these steps to set up access to your schoolcare parent or student portal.

Check communication from your school

Your school will send you an email or letter containing your portal URL, an access code, and an initial password. Check your inbox — and your spam folder if you don't see it.

Can't find the email? Contact your school's admin office and ask them to resend your portal invite.

Open the portal in your browser

Visit the URL provided by your school. The portal works on any device — phone, tablet, or computer. No app download is required.

Select "Create an Account"

On the login page, click Create an Account. You'll be taken to a new screen to begin the account setup process.

Enter your access code and password

Type the access code and initial password exactly as provided in your school's communication. Click Next to continue.

These credentials are unique to you — do not share them with anyone.

Set a new personal password

Create a secure password you'll remember. Choose something strong — mix letters, numbers, and symbols. Follow any on-screen guidelines for length and complexity.

Log in and explore your portal

You're in. Use your new credentials to access your dashboard. We recommend adding the portal to your home screen so you can open it with a single tap.

User Access & Permissions

Access to specific sections of the portal is controlled by your school's administrator. Each user role (parent, student, staff) sees only the information relevant to them. If you believe you're missing access to something, contact your school admin.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the schoolcare portals
Click the Forgot Password link on the portal login page and follow the on-screen instructions. A reset link will be sent to the email address registered with your account. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, contact your school administrator and ask them to resend the reset.
Once logged in, navigate to Account Settings and select Change Password. Follow the on-screen instructions and ensure your new password meets your school's security requirements (usually a minimum of 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers).
Accounts are automatically locked after several incorrect login attempts as a security measure. To unlock your account, contact your school administrator and ask them to reset your access. They can unlock accounts from within the schoolcare admin dashboard.
Check the following:
  • Ensure push notifications are enabled in the portal settings (Account → Notifications).
  • On your phone, make sure notifications are allowed for your browser in your device settings.
  • iPhone users must add the portal to their home screen before push notifications will work — this is a Safari/iOS requirement.
  • If notifications still don't arrive, contact your school's admin to confirm that broadcasts are being sent.
Access to specific data is controlled by your user role and your school's configuration. For example, report cards may only be visible after the school publishes them, and medical records are shared at the school's discretion. If you believe certain information should be visible but isn't, please contact your school administrator.

They can resolve the majority of portal issues directly.
